Geeky Drunk

I just finished upgrading 23 different sites to Wordpress 2.5.1. This was long over due, as many of the sites were running 2.2 or older. It took about 8 hours to backup, delete files, upload new files and upgrade plugins. The new automatic plug in upgrade feature is nice, but man there has to be a better way. 8 hours! There went my Memorial Day … time to get geeky drunk.

I did find 6 different sites that had been hacked. They had an extra directory named “1″ in the /wp-content/ directory. This new directory had tons of gambling pages and a single javascript file. The ip addresses all traced back to Asia and China.
